A little bit of sewing...
Hi everyone - hope you're all having a great weekend. Weather not too bad here today.
I have been experimenting with free motion embroidery on my machine. I have already done one, but it was as part of a DT make - so watch this space next week!
I stamped the poppy image onto some cotton material that I had already backed with some stabilizer, then off I went onto my machine.
I find it very therapeutic doing this.
I cut the heart shape from the white cotton & some red for the backing using my dies & GC. Sewed it all up - remembering to leave a gap to put the wadding in, then finished off with a little hand sewing to close the gap.
I might use it as a pin cushion or I might just have it as a bit of home decor.
Hope you like it.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs,
Bev xx

ATC's
Just thought I'd share 4 ATC's I have done for a swap over on ATC Uk swap page on Facebook. The theme was trees.
I used some tree stamps from Crafty Individuals & some freebie papers for the first 3 and the stamps with Distress Inks for the fourth one.
I inked around them all & went around the edges with gold Rub'n'Buff.
Hope you like them.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs,
Bev xx

DT post for Creative Artiste
Hi everyone - a new month so a new DT project for Creative Artiste. The sponsors this month are Foil Play & Di's Digis.
This colour palette that the DT used for inspiration:-
Butterflies & flowers are the theme this month.
I decided to try some Folk Art painting. I found an empty jar - well nearly empty! I found my acrylics and picked out the ones that matched the colour palette. Painted the background, then painted the little flowers around the jar, adde some leaves & a few hearts dotted around. Talking of dots - placed some around the base of the jar.
Finished off with a coat of decopatch to seal it all, added some butterflies & wound some twine around the top of the jar.
I thought it would be a cool pot to keep my brushes in.
Hop over to the Creative Artiste blog & check out the other DT members lovely makes this month - enter the challenge you might win! Good luck!
Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs,
Bev xx
