DT piece for JB Crafting Supplies

Hi everyone! Bev here with this week's DT post. Hope you all had a great Christmas & are ready to welcome in the new year - 2015 - cant believe it!
Totally forgot it was Sunday yesterday so am a day late with my post for JB Crafting Supplies - oops!
Looking at the Stampendous stamp - teacup cupcake - I thought it would make a cute thank you card. I have a few of those to send so got straight onto it.
I folded some white card in half - slightly larger than the stamp. I inked the stamp with some black Versamark ink & positioned the stamp so that a small part overlapped the fold of the card. I stamped the cream, rose & leaves again, then the rose & leaves & lastly the rose - all to be used as decoupage.
I carefully cut around the images. On the main image I made sure to straighten off the botto of the saucer so the card would stand up.
Next came the colouring using watercolour pencils. Once that was done I layered up the decoupage pieces with foam pads.
I found a cut little 'Thank You' from the Joanna Sheen paper pad that Julie also sent me. Adhered this just under the rose.
I think it makes a lovely 'Thank You' card & I'm sure whoever receives it will love it.
You can check out JB Crafting Supplies blog here - there are also links on the left hand sidebar of my blog.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs & Happy New Year!

DT piece for JB Crafting Supplies

Hi everyone here's this week's DT make for JB Crafting Supplies using Joanna Sheen papers - designed by Janet Kruskamp.
I love these papers & I don't think anything else is needed when these are used. There are some lovely pages in this paper pad. each page can be used to make a card with a main image, sentiments & embellishments.
I cut out the main image & the parts for decoupage. Adhered these with foam pads for depth.
Matted this onto white, then green card & added the sentiment.
There are some lovely Teddy images & the quality of the paper is really good with a lovely glossy shine to it.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas & hope you all have a lovely time, whatever you're doing.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs,

Christmas card

Hi everyone- just thought I'd pop on & share with you a card I made for our son James & his partner, Charlotte. I can post it now as they have received it.
I fancied using some kraft kard as I like how it looks & feels.
I made the card from an A4 sheet folded in half to ake an A5 card. I embossed the card using a 'dotty' Darice embossing folder.
I then cut a smaller piece of kraft card & embossed using a Couture Creations embossing folder - Message In A Tree.
I went over the embossed area with gold Rub'n'Buff and then with soe rusty red mica powder.
I matted the smaller card onto some white card then adhered this to the main card using foam pads.
I found some paper in my stash to give a border along the bottom.
Die cut a poinsettia & a fir bough. Used the gold Rub'n'Buff on the poinsettia & some stickles on the fir bough.
Added a bit of bling in the centre of the poinsettia.
Made a bow & added this to the top of the card. Hope you like it.
I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas & hope you enjoy whatever you're doing.
Thankyou for visiting my blog over the past year & leaving lovely comments - much appreciated.
Thanks for visiting today.
Hugs,

DT post for Jiggery Makery

Hi everyone - only another week until the big day! Hope you're all ok.
Here is my final post this year for Jiggery Makery. I have used the lovely digi image Cindy, designed by Adele Bradwell.
I have made a birthday card this time. Layered up some lovely backing papers, inking around the egdes first. Printed Cindy onto white card & coloured using Inktense pencils. Cut her out, then adhered her to the card using foam pads.
Found a sentiment, stamped onto white card, then inked using tattered rose Distress Ink. Adhered this using foam pads.
Found a lovely heart charm in my stash, along with some other bling - even found some small enough to use as a necklace for Cindy.
Don't forget to pop over to Jiggery Makery & have a look at the lovely designs by Adele Bradwell. You can find links on my left hand side bar to the Facebook page, blog & Etsy shop.
Thanks for stopping by.
Merry Christmas!

DT post for JB Crafting Supplies using Stampendous stamp

Hi everyone! Hope your preparations are going well. I just have wrapping up to do.
For my DT piece for JB Crafting Supplies this week I have been sent a lovely Stampendous cling stamp - teacup cupcake, a Crafter's Companion embossing folder - Flower Garden from the Vintage Floral collection & Joanna Sheen paper pad designed by Janet Kruskamp.
I embossed some white card with the embossing folder, inked using tattered rose Distress Ink. I then matted this onto some white card, then onto a pink card.
Stamped the image onto white card, then stamped again just inking the rose & leaves, then again just inking the rose.
I coloured the images using Inktense watercolour pencils.
Cut out the main images, then layered up the rose part of the image for a bit of depth.
Found a matching border & a sentiment in the paper pad, cut these out & adhered to the card.
A lovely image, embossing folder & paper pad to work with - just come at the right time for me as I have 2 friends who have birthdays just after Christmas, and a nice change from making 'Christmassy' things.
You can find links to JB Crafting Supplies on my left hand sidebar - pop over & take a look.
Hope you like it.

DT piece for Jiggery Makery

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a good week.
Here's my make this week for Jiggery Makery using the lovely Cindy digi image, designed by Adele Bradwell.
I printed the image out, coloured using Cosmic Shimmer watercolours. Cut her out.
I adhered her to some vellum.
Stamped the sentiment onto white card & edged with blue ink & blue stickles. Adhered this using some foam pads.
Punched some snowflakes from white card, arranged them around the image & sentiment. Placed a blob of blue stickles in the centre of the snowflakes, and placed some of the stickles under Cindy.
I thought of making a window in a card to place the vellum, so the light could shine through, but I have a small light arrangement in the kitchen so thought it would look good to photograph it on there - I like it so may make some kind of tealight thing from it.
Hope you like it. Please take a look around the Jiggery Makery blog - there you will find a link to the etsy shop where you can see Cindy & more lovely digi images designed by Adele - all ready for you to purchase & use on your projects. There are also links on my left hand sidebar.
Thanks for stopping by.

DT piece for JB Crafting Supplies

Hi everyone here I am with this week's DT post for JB Crafting Supplies, using those lovely Joanna Sheen stamps.
When I looked at this stamp again I thought it would make a good bauble.
I stamped the image onto some scrap paper to see how big a circle I would need to draw around it. I found a lid big enough, drew around it then made the points on each side.
I then drew around this shape onto some white card, stamped the image using black Archival ink. There is also a small angel stamp which fitted perfectly in the space at the bottom of my bauble.
Coloured the image using Cosmic Shimmer watercolour paints.
Inked around the image using barn door Distress Ink. Added some red glitter to the berries. Used some gold Rub'n'Buff around the edges then some Stickles glitter to the white flowers & around the edges.
Backed my bauble with some gold mirri board to give it a bit more strength.
Punched a hole in the top, threaded some ribbon through & my bauble decoration was finished.
I'm sure I can find somewhere to hang it!
Hope your Christmas preparations are all going to plan & you're not getting too stressed. Have a great week!
Thanks for stopping by.

Bev xx

DT post for Jiggery Makery

Hi everyone - here's my DT post for Jiggery Makery using the lovely new digi image designed by Adele Bradwell. Meet Cindy - see how much lovely detail there is on this image. A beautiful image that can be resized, printed, coloured using whatever medium takes your fancy, can even be imported into another graphics programme to use with other digital elements.
I thought it would be fun to use her to decorate a candle.

I stamped the holly image onto tissue paper, then coloured in. Placed the tissue onto the candle & used my heat gun to make the image 'sink' into the candle.
I attached some tissue paper onto some card then printed off the image of Cindy. While the tissue was still attached to the card I coloured her using Inktense pencils.
I removed the tissue from the card, wrapped the tissue around the candle, making sure there were no creases. Then carefully heated with my heat gun until the image became a part of the candle. She looks perfect on the candle.
If you pop over to Jiggery Makery blog you can see other DT makes & there is a link to the Etsy shop where you can see more of Adele's designs & purchase some lovely images. There is also a Jiggery Makery Facebook page.
Thanks for stopping by.

JB Crafting Supplies DT Post

Hi everyone Bev here with another DT post for JB Crafting Supplies
Hope you've had a good week - I've been dog sitting for my son, James. Poppy  has been here most of this week. She has to 'help' with & inspect my makes!

Julie from JB Crafting Supplies has sent me some lovely stamps this week - Joanna Sheen's Favourite Flowers Collection - candle.
I don't know why but these stamps just shouted 'brown paper' to me - I think to give them a vintage feel.
I stamped the main image onto the brown paper using black Archival ink. Coloured in using my lovely Inktense pencils. Ripped carefully around the image & applied frayed burlap Distress Ink to the ripped edges. This made the edges curl up, which I thought looked good, adding to the vintage feel. I applied the DI sparingly around the image.
Stamped the sentiment, using black Archival, onto more brown paper. Ripped carefully around the edges & applied the frayed burlap DI to them.
I had a red card in my stash, applied some gold Rub'n'Buff around the edges.
Adhered the sentiment to some red ribbon & adhered this to the card.
Poppy approved!
This is a lovely image, would work well with any medium.
Thanks for stopping by.

Bev & Poppy xx

DT post for Jiggery Makery

Hi everyone - hope you're week has been ok so far, not too long to the weekend now.
I have used the lovely Cassie -  a JiggeryMakery digi-image designed by Adele Bradwell.
I coloured the tag using my Inktense pencils - covered with Hookers Green, then used water to blend.
Coloured Cassie with them as well. Cut her out.
Stamped the holly using sage green Distress Ink, and the sentiment with black Archival Ink.
I edged the tag with barn door DI.
Adhered Cassie to the tag with foam pads. Added a bit of glitter to the holly on the tag & on Cassie.
This tag could be used as a tag or could be mounted onto a card.

DT post for JB Crafting Supplies

Hi everyone - thanks for stopping by.
For this weeks JB Crafting Supplies DT make I decided to make an Advent calendar & thought that the lovely Magic of Christmas paper pad that Julie sent me would be ideal to cover it.
I used a die to cut out my matchboxes from card, but you could buy matchboxes to do this.Once I had made the matchboxes I covered the front of each box with some of the Magic of Christmas paper.
Once this was done I arranged the boxes as you can see in the photo's. I ended up with 2 parts, each with 12 boxes. I stuck each part of 12 boxes onto a piece of  card, this holds them together.
I adhered pieces of the paper pad onto the sides of the matchboxes. I inked around the edges using barn door Distress Ink, then went around with gold Rub 'n' Buff.
I placed brads on each 'drawer' to use as handles.
I stamped a number onto the each 'drawer' using Versa Mark ink pad, then used gold embossing powder.
To make the base & top I cut out pieces of thicker card, a little larger than the boxes. I covered these with some of the papers & edged with the gold Rub 'n' Buff.
Adhered the top section to the bottom section, added the base & top, making sure they were central.
Made a box for the top, covered with the papers. Edged with barn door DI & gold Rub 'n' Buff. Adhered this to the top of my Advent calendar - all that is needed now is to fill each drawer with some treats!
I enjoyed making this project & hope it inspires you to have a go.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs,
Bev xx

DT post for Jiggery Makery

Hi everyone! Here's my cheeky DT post for Jiggery Makery, using the lovely Cassie digi image designed by Adele Bradshaw. This image is on sdale in her Etsy shop. If you head on over to Jiggery Makery blog there are links on there to the Etsy shop.
I wasn't sure what to do with this image, wanted something other than a card, then I thought of a door hanger.
I cut the hanger shape from card & covered it with some lovely papers. Used gold Rub 'n' Buff around the edges to give it a bit of an aged look. Adhered some sparkly ribbon & a strip from the papers to hide the join.
I printed Cassie onto white card & coloured her using Inktense pencils, cut her out & adhered her to the hanger using foam pads for a bit of depth.
Made the 'do not disturb' from some gold paper & printed the words using black Archival ink. Went around the edges with frayed burlap Distress Ink. Added some bling. Adhered with foam pads. Thought crossing out the 'not' made it a bit cheeky!
Found another couple of strips of paper - here comes Santa Claus & to all a good night - cut these out & adhered using foam pads.
Added some stickles glitter to Cassie's ribbon & holly.
Hope you like it.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs,
Bev xx

DT post using Crafter's Companion stamps

Hi everyone! Hope you have all had a great week & are not getting too stressed about how quickly Christmas seems to be getting here. Grab a coffee & see what I've been making.
Here is this week's DT make for JB Crafting Supplies using the lovely Crafter's Companion stamps & the gorgeous Magic of Christmas paper pad that Julie sent me.
I made a small gift bag from ordinary copy paper & covered it with paper from the paper pad. I inked around all the edges using barn door Distress Ink.
I stamped the image onto white card using black Archival ink, then coloured in using my lovely new Inktense pencils. Cut around the image leaving a small white border as I thought the image might 'get lost' when I placed it on the patterened paper.
Stamped the sentiment onto white card, inked around the edges with the barn door DI, adhered onto another piece of white card & cut out leaving a small border.
I arranged the image & sentiment on the bag & adhered using foam pads.
Added some sparkle with stickles & closed using some snowflake brads - which I also applied some sparkly stickles to!
A neat little bag to put a few treats in!
Hope you like it.

DT post for Jiggery Makery - Festive Bunting

Hi everyone! Here's my post for Jiggery Makery using the Missy digi image designed by Adele Bradwell. Such a great image to work with & until the 14th November this digi is available over on Jiggery Makery Etsy shop for only £1 ! All proceeds are going to Children In Need so pop over, pay a pound get a great image & help children - no brainer!
I wanted to make some festive bunting, I knew there was a template in Craft Artist so opened it up to have a look.
I had already printed & coloured my image - mmm too big for the size of the bunting - what to do?? I took a photo of my coloured image then imported it into CA to resize for the size of the bunting. Copied the image 3 times then printed & cut them out.
Back to CA to design the bunting, found some lovely green gingham type paper for the background, then added 2 'ribbons' across the middle. Found some embellishments (a bow & a button) - resized. Printed out the bunting, then the embellishments on another sheet of card.
Thought the bunting would look better with a red border so adhered the four pieces to some red card & cut out leaving a border.
Adhered Missy to the bunting, cut out & adhered the embellishments.
Then printed out a fancy label with the sentiment printed on it.
Punched holes in the corners of the bunting, threaded onto some red dotty ribbon, leaving a space to place the sentiment label.
Love this image it is so easy to work with whatever medium you decide to use it with.
Don't forget to pop over to Jiggery Makery blog & have a look around there is a link on there to the Etsy shop.

DT post for JB Crafting Supplies

Hi everyone - sorry not been around but I had a fall, fell down the stairs & it has taken me a bit of time to get up & about. Nothing was broken - thankfully - but have been really battered & bruised. The range of colours are finally disappearing & I'm hobbling about much better.
As it's Sunday it's time for another DT post for JB Crafting Supplies using those lovely Crafter's Companion stamps - Adorable Cute Companions designed by Jayne Nestorenko.
I coloured a white tag using my new Inktense pencils (Keith bought them for my birthday last Saturday but as have been in bed have only just got around to using them) then went over with water to make a wash background. The pencils are soooo scrummy! I love them.
Stamped the cute image using black Archival ink, then coloured using my pencils.
Stamped the snowflake in various places using VersaMark clear ink then sprinkled with some embossing powder & heated using heat tool.
Stamped the sentiment using the black Archival.
Covered a card with a sheet from the lovely Magic of Christmas paper pad.
Added a ribbon to my tag, then adhered to the card using foam pads.
Those stamps & papers make it really easy to make a lovely card - hope you like it.
Thanks for stopping by,
Bev xx

DT post for Jiggery Makery

Hi everyone! Hope your week is ok so far.
My project this week using Tess the witch digi, designed by Adele Bradwell at Jiggery Makery, is a treat bag - got to have something to put all the lovely treats in!
The bag was a template on Craft Artist, I just added a background, a cobweb & a sentiment & printed it onto some card. Once cut out I inked around the edges using frayed burlap DI.
Once I had the bag measurements I could resize Tess to fit, printed off 2 images.
I coloured her using my watercolour pencils, then cut out leaving a white border around her.
I adhered her to the bag using foam pads for a bit of depth.
Found a bat image, cut it out & adhered to the card.
Mmm... think something was missing - ahh yes GLITTER! I glittered Tess's dress & hat & sprinkled some around the background.
Added a couple of ribbons. Now just need some goodies to put into the bag - I'm sure that can be arranged!
Pop over to Adele's etsy shop & browse around her lovely images.
Thanks for stopping by, I love reading the lovely comments you leave.

Christmas tag

Hi again bloggers!
Just thought I'd pop on quickly & post this tag. It was made as part of a challenge swap & now lives in Bermuda! I love these globetrotting swaps.
To start I placed olive green & brick red DI on my gelli plate, then lifted a print. I used this for my background.
I had cut the tag from card, adhered my background onto it. Used a decorative corner punch on the bottom corners, then went around the edges with gold Rub'n'Buff.
I then die cut the elements, reindeer, poinsettia, snowflake, tree branch, sentiment & small tag from various cardstock. I covered the small tag with the background paper.
I used some gold Rub'n'Buff on the poinsettia to bring out the detail.
I arranged the elements onto my large tag, stuck a gem in the centre of the poinsettia, finally sprinkled some glitter around.
Hope you like my globetrotting tag.
Thanks so much for stopping by, I love reading any comments that are very kindly left.

Bev xx

DT post for JB Crafting Supplies - using Crafter's Companion stamps

Hi everyone!
For this weeks make with the lovely Crafter's Companion stamps - Adorable Cute Companions, designed by Jayne Nestorenko - sent to me by Julie at JB Crafting Supplies, I decided to make a tealight holder.
I had an empty jar (well empty-ish!) & some spare napkins.
I wasn't sure if what I had in mind would work, but I tried it & I think it turned out ok.
I first carefully parted the layers of the napkin, I only needed one layer with nothing on it. Then I stamped onto the napkin layer with the stamps, using black Archival ink.
My jar isn't round - it has 4 sides, so I stamped 4 images. I tore around carefully around the images leaving a border. Next was the part I was unsure of as I thought the ink may bleed. I covered one side of the jar with some Americana Decou-Page medium and carefully applied a tissue image, going over the image with the medium once I had it in place - RESULT! no bleeding so I repeated this on the other 3 sides of the jar.
I left this to dry for a while.
Then came the next part I was unsure of - would I be able to colour the images? I used my watercolour pencils & they worked a treat.
At the top of the jar I applied some gilding flakes.
Once I was sure it was all dry I applied some glitter in various places using Stckles.
Added some sparkly ribbon around the top & a rechargeable tealight inside.
Here are the other sides of the jar. Hopefully you can see a bit of the sparkle I added. I love the 'frostiness' of the glass.

I am really pleased with how this has turned out. I hope it has insiped you to give it a try. Pop over to Julie's shop and see what stamps she has that make you want to try this project.

Ist DT post for Jiggery Makery Designs !

Hi everyone! Here is my first DT post for Jiggery Makery Designs. Owned by Adele Bradshaw, she designs lovely digi images.
She sent this one for this DT project - Tess the witch.
Once I downloaded the image I imported it into Craft Artist so that I could resize it, I made the image A5. Easy peasy to resize.
I printed the image onto white card, then I coloured it using watercolour pencils.
I know she's a witch but I think she has done all of her witchy duties & is off out to a party so I coloured her dress a lovely orange, with shoes to match.
Once the watercolours had dried I figured she was in need of a little sparkle so added some stickles to her dress & hat.
I think you can just about see the shimmer in this close up photo - you can also see the lovely detail Adele puts into her images.

I cut around the image leaving a small white margin. Adhered her to some black card & cut out leaving a small black margin.
I made the 4 step card from some purple/grey card. I used some ripped copy paper as a template & inked around the card using some burgundy ink - trying to give the impression of clouds.
Cut a moon out of some grey card.
Stamped the hallowe'en sentiment onto black card using flitter glue & applied some copper foil. Wrote the party sentiment usingmy Zig pen & applied the copper foil to this.
Cut out some black squares to cover the steps & applied a couple of bats & some more foiled writing.
Adhered Tess to the card using foam pads. Used foam pads on the sentiments.
Thought it needed just a little more so drew a couple of spiders & their webs on a couple of the corners.
Adele does some great designs - check out the Jiggery Makery Blog where there is a link to her Etsy shop. She also has a Jiggery Makery Facebook page.
There is also an insight into how she designed Tess the witch on the blog. Thanks for stopping by.

DT post for JB Crafting Supplies

Hi everyone - hope you've all had a good week.
For today's DT post for JB Crafting Supplies I have made a 3 step card - this shape is really easy to make & folds flat for posting. It also stands well. If you want the measurements they are under the templates tab.
I made the basic shape from some white card, covered this with a sheet from the Magic of Christmas paper pad designed by Steph Davies.
Stamped the images from Crafter's Companion - Adorables Cute Companions designed by Jayne Nestorenko, onto white card, coloured in using watercolour pencils.
I cut the images out leaving a small white border. Adhered the images onto some red card & cut out leaving a small red border.
Went around the edges of the card with foil. Arranged my elements onto the card using foam pads.
These images are really easy to work with, the detail on them is lovely.
Check out Julie's shop & have a closer look.

Foil Play card

Hi everyone! Well what a dull, wet couple of days we have had here - just had to stay in and craft.
This card is made from two lovely foiled Kanban sheets, which are part of my giveaway from Foil Play. Details can be found here .
I made the 4 step card first from some pearlescent card - measurements for this can be found here .
I then picked out the toppers I wanted to use & which fitted my card.
I adhered the house topper onto some navy card & cut around to leave a small border to match the large sentiment. I did the same with the small sentiment topper.
I cut some squares from the navy card & adhered to the square 'steps'. Die cut some baubles & snowflakes from some silver mirri, adhered these to the navy squares.

DT make for JB Crafting Supplies

Hi everyone, here is my DT make for JB Crafting Supplies made using the Crafter's Companion stamps & the Christmas papers very kindly sent to me by Julie from her shop.
I made the glove stamp is a corner stamp, which I stamped 4 times onto white card - matching up to make a frame, using black Archival ink. I coloured them in using watercolour pencils. I cut around the outside edge & coloured the centre using the watercolour pencils as a wash.
Stamped the girl onto white card with the black Archival, coloured using the watercolour pencils & cut out.
Stamped the parcel image out four times, coloured with the watercolour pencils & cut out.
Arranged the images onto the frame, adhered using foam pads.
Stamped the sentiment, cut into three pieces, inked around with frayed burlap DI & adhered with foam pads.
Mounted the frame onto one of the sheets from the Christmas paper pad, mounted this onto some blue card then onto some white card.
Added a little bling with some gems on each side.
The stamps are lovely to work with, very versatile.
Hope you like this weeks make, thanks for stopping by.
Hugs,
Bev xx

Recycled make

Hi everyone - hope you're having a great weekend. I've managed to get crafty stuff done.
This was made as part of a challenge - One Word Wonder challenge on Facebook. The word was recycle.
I had an empty beetroot jar - so decided to try & make something with it after removing the label.
I found some Christmas napkins, so decided to make a tealight holder.
I peeled the napkin apart as I only wanted the layer with the design on it. I roughly tore around the parts I wanted.
Then I used some Americana Decou-Page medium, which is a glue, sealer & finish all in one.
I applied this to areas & carefully placed the layer of napkin where I wanted it to go. Continued with this until most of the area of the jar was covered.
I was just left with the top part of the jar to cover. I wondered if some gilding flakes would work as I thought they would add a bit of bling.
I applied Flitter glue to the top & covered in Colourful Thoughts Gilding Flakes in variegated copper, then went over any places not covered with big silver gilding flakes.
I placed a rechargeable tealight inside the jar & was really pleased with how it looked.
I will be using it during the Christmas festivities!

Oak House Studio One Stamp Project

Hi everyone today I have made projects for the Oak House Studio One Stamp Project, using the Christmas Corner stamp from Oak House Studio.
The idea is to see how many different projects crafters come up with using just this one stamp for one day.
I decided to decorate a candle & make a wall hanging.
For the candle I first made sure how it would fit around the candle. I stamped onto tissue paper using black Archival. Coloured the image using watercolours.
I found it better to stamp each image seperately rather than trying to stamp all the images.
I applied the image to the candle, wrapped some greaseproof paper around the image, pulling it tight & making sure there are no creases. Then heated gently using my heat gun, moving it quickly across the image, so the image goes into the candle.
I repeated this until there were enough images to go around the candle. Doing them individuaally meant I could position each one equally.
For the wall hanging, i stamped the image out four times using versa mark, then applied some green embossing powder. Heated with the heat gun.
Carefully cut each image out.
Decided how I wanted them to be placed on the hessian.
Adhered the images onto the hessian, stamped a sentiment & placed this inbetween the images.
Backed the hessian, attached a ribbon for hanging.
There are some great projects over on the Oak House Studio blog - pop over & take a peek.
Don't forget my giveaway at the top of the page - some great papers to be won here.

spooky candle

I know, I know - I'm obsessed with this pumpkin stamp! But I love it.
There was a challenge over on One Word Wonder & the theme was pumpkin so I just had to enter!
I tried to think of something different to do. I have some rechargable candles so decided to make something with one of these.
I stamped the pumpkin from a set called 'Boo! Stamp Set' from Oak House Studio. The set contains 5 stamps - a plain circle, the pumpkin detail, 2 scary 'faces' & BOO. I stamped using Yummy Chocolate ink, also from Oak House Stuido, onto some orange card, then stamped the 'faces' onto the pumpkins using black Archival ink. Stamped the boo sentiment around them too. I cut out the 'faces' out to allow the light to shine through like on a real pumpkin.
I wrapped the paper around the candle.
Wrapped some black ribbon around the middle & bottom of the candle, but then thought it needed something on the top.
I stamped the pumpkin & 'face' image a few more times, cut these out. Made a slit into the bottom of the pumpkins & placed them on the top of the candle.
Luckily today was a very dull day so when I came to take the photo the candle light really showed up.

Oh I had a little helper as well & she just had to check that I had done everything properly! Thanks Poppy!
Thanks for stopping by.

Quick Foil Play Makes

Hi Bloggers! Well I have had such a busy day today I didn't think I would have time to make anything before OH got home - how wrong I was!
I remembered about the lovely card kits Gill from Foil Play sent me for my blog giveaway.
I chose the cute Fairy Doodles ones for these 2 cards. One is a die cut waterfall card & the other a die cut pyramage card.
The pieces all came out of the card very easily & were so easy to put together that I had these 2 cards made in no time at all - great for anyone who needs to make a lot of cards quickly.
The pyramage sheet would make 2 cards. The ribbon borders & the sentiments are included on the sheets.
I just needed to add the cards, some backing papers & a couple of bows.
I had these 2 cards made with plenty of time to spare before dinner!
Don't forget to enter my giveaway here - you might win some of the lovely die cuts!
Thanks for stopping by.

DT make

Hi Bloggers - hope your weekend has been a good one.
This is a make for JB Crafting Supplies using some lovely Crafter's Companion stamps, Adorables Cute Companions designed by Jayne Nestorenko & some lovely papers from Craftwork cards - The Magic of Christmas mini paper pad designed by Steph Davies.
I am really into making these box - type cards at the moment. They are really easy to make & fold flat so good for posting.
I made my card from white card - the details of how to make this card can be found on my  here.
I then stamped the images onto white card using black Archival - I wanted to make the signpost be behind the child & reindeer so made a mask of them, placed this over my image & then stamped the signpost.
I coloured the images using watercolour pencils. I cut the image out & decided which die cut to use for it, cut this out using my Grand Calibur. Adhered the image to the die cut.
Stamped the small letter image onto white card, coloured in & cut out. Made a small cut on the child's hand ( OO! that sounded bad!) and placed the letter into the cut so it looked as if the child is holding it.
Stamped the sentiments onto white card using black Archival ink & die cut them using a circle & tag die.
I chose a paper to match my image & colours, then covered the box card with it.
Arranged all my elements onto the card to see where they looked best then adhered using foam pads.
I went around various places with my waterfall Stickles, made a bow from some white ribbon & placed that on the box part of the card.
Placed some gems at various places, coloured a couple red with a Promarker, as on the paper the reindeer has red baubles hanging from his antlers.
Here are a couple of pics - to show the lovely detail on the stamps & how the card looks.

Hope you like it.
